My Values
Reparations
As a person who is continually learning, unpacking and applying methods in which we can move towards a more equitable and just future, reparations is one of the most impactful ways that our society can make strides in taking accountability for all the incorrigible harm done by way of oppression and colonization. Through my services, I will be donating 50% of all my earnings to LGBTQ/Black and Indigenous organizations. These specific organizations are listed on the Resources page.
Community-Based Model
I work from a community-based and abolitionist model which means I don’t call 911 in a crisis, and instead use community supports as resources as a safer intervention. I also provide a list of community support hotlines that are located on the Resources page as additional support.
Trauma-Informed
In understanding that a person is so much more than the mistakes they make or the issues they are experiencing, I provide a holistic, non-judgmental and nurturing space for people to bring their whole selves forward. There is no “one size fits all” model to wellbeing, and there is beauty in exploring different methods of how a person can live as their most authentic self in this world.
Collaborative
I believe in a person’s autonomy and will to self-determination, and encourage openness and transparency as a practice where trust can be built in a collaborative and co-creative way. I will always hold myself accountable in continuing my own education and practicing humility where I may fall short.
